Nice to meet you, I´m Alyssa.
My style is candid, documentary, and real because the people you love matter just as much as the two of you. Each guest is there because they are a part of your story, and I want each part of the story represented and remembered.
Of course I want you to have beautiful wedding portraits hanging on your walls. But I also want you to remember the hug from your grandmother, the way your dad looked at you during the ceremony, your friends laughing during the reception, and all of the moments you never even realized were happening.
Some of the most valuable photos from my own wedding aren’t the portraits. They’re the candid moments that captured the people we love, including my grandparents and even our dogs, both of whom have since passed away. Those photographs have become more meaningful with every passing year. They remind me not only of what our wedding looked like, but what it felt like, and of the people who made that day so special.
That’s why I photograph weddings the way I do. I love the humanity found at weddings. Every expression, every emotion, and every quiet and loud moment tells part of your story.
Beautiful portraits matter, but your wedding is about so much more than portraits. It’s about relationships, memories, and one of the few days in your life when nearly everyone you love is gathered together in one place. My hope is that decades from now your photographs won’t just remind you what happened, they’ll remind you who you shared it with and their love that surrounds you.
