Anna & Steve wanted something a little unique to commemorate their year(ish) marriage anniversary before they headed off to Guam to be restationed. If anyone wants to hire me for their Guam wedding, just let me know… I’d love an excuse to see Guam, shoot some gorgeous wedding images for you, and see Anna & Steve again! I had known Steve a little bit growing up as the cousin of one of my best friends, and it was wonderful meeting and getting to know Anna. Anna was the genius and insane talent behind my hair for my own wedding, so hats off to her for getting my highly uncooperative hair to obey her! When we chatted about the idea of doing an underwater session together before they headed off to Guam, she was on board and came equipped with an army of amazing dresses for the session. Both of them were so incredibly comfortable in the water, which is not an easy task! During an underwater session, you have to keep your eyes open, not have a puffer fish face, then do whatever crazy pose I have in mind while holding your breath. I couldn’t do it, so I always have the utmost respect for each and every one of my models willing to hop in the water with me to create some art alongside me. Underwater photography is a collaboration between myself and my models, even more so than my land shoots, and it’s so rewarding to see the finished products! Underwater couples’ sessions- whether it be engagement sessions, trash the dress, year anniversary, or just because are beautiful ways to create unique art for your home.
I book underwater portrait sessions between April and September, however, if you have access to a heated pool, I am happy to do them year round! Click here for more info about underwater sessions!
