Water has such transformative properties. It never ceases to amaze me. During the session, most of my clients tell me, “I feel so awkward, are you sure these will turn out?” “Yes, trust me. No matter how awkward and ridiculous you feel right now, there will be some beautiful, graceful shots, I promise!” Underwater maternity is no exception, though I find that mermaid mommas are even more graceful perhaps. I’m told it also does wonders for alleviating the strain on their backs. Luisiana travelled all the way from southern Arizona to do a session with me, and I am so honored. During her session, she chatted with me about her beautiful wedding in South America. I was struck by her peace and calm through the session and she did a wonderful job. A big thanks to El Mar Dive Center in Mesa for letting us use their beautifully clear, heated pool which was extra nice as we did this session in December! I have some exciting underwater ideas in mind for when my underwater season officially starts up in mid-late April/May and I can’t wait to get in the water again!
