I have been so blessed to have had my busiest season to date this season with so many amazing portrait sessions especially at this beautiful location. I love showing people the Salt River- a hidden gem that not even native Arizonans knew really existed. It has gorgeous trees, stunning mountains and of course the river which is a rarity in the desert. And whenever someone asks to bring their dog, I say yes probably over enthusiastically. If you bring your dog along to your engagement or senior portraits, I might require an extra payment of cuddles!
Tedi told me a few times during our session that she was “camera shy”. I politely & nicely call BS on that- I think she’s really a secret model. Even her pug was a secret model. He was so content just hanging out & cuddling with Tedi and as perfect in front of the camera as Tedi. We even got to spot some of the famous Salt River horses which is always a treat to see in this area. They are wild and I hope they stay that way for a long time. I love seeing them occasionally along the river and showing them to my clients. Most of all though, I love the stillness and peacefullness of the Salt River. Even if there are some people around, it just has this relaxing energy, like you’re in a different part of the world from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. That, coupled with the soft noises the river makes and the calls of the birds and it makes for one of my favorite places in the valley to shoot.
Thank you Tedi for being such a sweetheart!
