This wedding is extra special to me because Jordan is my beautiful cousin. It was such a treat to be a part of her day. Being from Arizona, shooting an Iowa wedding was a welcome change of scenery! I love the opportunity to travel- it gives me fresh eyes to see things differently and challenges me creatively. I hope to travel to more weddings in 2016! There is so much green in the Quad Cities! Scott & Jordan chose a very elegant, glam theme for their Rivercenter wedding in Davenport, Iowa. I especially loved all of the beautiful moments- Mark, Jordan’s dad, seeing her for the first time, then Scott seeing her and getting a few moments to themselves before the whirlwind of the wedding day commenced, dancing, singing,… those are the moments I love to capture as a documentary photographer. To me, those moments are what makes weddings special- not the details or the dress or anything else. My goal with photography is to capture how the wedding FELT, not just looked, so you can relive that and share that history with your family for generations.
