Nice to meet you, I´m Alyssa.
Are you tired of posed, awkward looking photos of yourself or your loved ones that don’t reflect your personalities? I hate that too. Not photogenic? All my clients say that- all you need a good photographer who makes you feel comfortable and yourself, like a friend you’re hanging out with. My portrait sessions are relaxed and I have a psychology degree so I know how to make your feel comfortable and bring out your personality in front of the camera. I have a decade (man, that makes me feel old) of experience photographing people.
Are you more of a homebody or have some pets or kids that may be less than cooperative? In home documentary style portrait sessions are some of my favorite places to photograph people. No, your home doesn’t need to look like it came out of a magazine either- I’m looking to document you in your real space, doing real life which adds to the authenticity of your portraits.
Family Sessions
As a mom myself, I know all too well how challenging it is getting the family together for photos. I also know first hand the importance of getting those photos done, because kids grow up so quickly. As a wedding photographer of 8+ experience and a mom of a VERY fast, busy toddler, I know how to capture those sweet little moments, connection and real life and would be honored to document your family outdoors or in your home.
Seniors
I started my career as a high school and college senior photographer 10 years ago and have done hundreds of senior sessions since. I didn’t love own my senior photos (sorry Mom!), so I aim to provide unique senior photos that show each senior’s unique personalities. I excel at bringing out shy personalities and work to make the photo process as painless and dare I say fun as possible!
Underwater
Yes, underwater! Underwater portraits, from underwater maternity, underwater senior sessions to underwater engagement sessions and trash the dress is a very unique type of session. I am one of the few photographers in the country who regularly shoot underwater and have 8+ years of experience doing these special types of sessions. Check out my underwater page for more info!
Engagement & Couples Sessions
I include engagement sessions within most of my wedding packages and offer a special discount to add on engagement sessions to my elopement & wedding packages, but if you are getting married in another state, I would love to document your love. Couples’ sessions for any reason or no reason also hold a special place in my heart. It’s invaluable to have your relationship in all its phases documented to look back on for the good times and the tough times.
