Styled shoots are inspirational shoots to help show brides what’s possible as well as show off the creative talents of local Phoenix vendors. It’s always wonderful to work with other talented creatives on a shoot purely for artistry and are a change of pace from actual weddings. Back towards the beginning of the year, Lou contacted me with an idea for a styled shoot. I had been kicking around the idea of an underwater styled shoot as well and started putting feelers out without saying what my idea was exactly. Turns out we had the exact same idea- an Ophelia-inspired underwater shoot that was very romantic and ethereal, without the tragic ending- sort of Ophelia meets mermaid with gorgeous florals and a stunning setting. Naturally, the Salt River in Mesa came to mind! Like everything, some obstacles had to be overcome and nothing ever runs smoothly, however I am so pleased with how this shoot came out. It was an honor to work with a rockstar team- I have been in love with Sarah’s floral designs for years, and Lou was AMAZING at the design. I can’t seem to even make my house look half-way adult-like and Lou just knocked it out of the park with not only the design but helping coordinate everything! I got the pleasure of working with 3 Luv Bridal brides this year and each and every one of them had fantastic things to say about their service. They were incredibly kind enough to donate a gown for us to use for the shoot- considering they wouldn’t get it back because it was going underwater, I’m forever grateful. Our make up team was also amazing! Thanks to everyone for donating their amazing talents to bringing this shoot to life, and I hope it provides some beautiful wedding and elopement inspriation to local Phoenix brides!
