Summer is here in Arizona! It’s supposed to be 118 degrees this weekend…. that means it is time for me to do underwater sessions, because that’s the only place outside us Arizonans can go without vaporizing instantly!
Underwater photography is a challenge for both the photographer and the model, though I think the model has it tougher. Water introduces all sorts of interesting and uncontrollable variables, ones that as a photographer, I can only attempt to control. Those uncontrollable variables is what makes underwater photography so interesting and unique and for me, one of my favorite things to shoot. You just can’t get into the water with a whole lot of expectations of how a certain pose will go because sometimes the water has different ideas.
Ashlee is one of my senior models for the 2014 class of Red Mountain High School and you will certainly see more of her on this blog once it cools down to temperatures that won’t char us on contact 🙂 But in the meantime, enjoy Ashlee’s beauty in her underwater softball senior photos (and a few above water shots).
