I have known Crista for a long while and was so happy to photograph her Arizona State University senior graduation portraits on campus. What can I say about Crista… She has graced my blog with her beautiful face before when I shot some couples’ portraits on Mill Ave in Tempe and I have been itching to get her back in front of my lens since. But besides being stunning, she is an incredible human being. She graduated from the WP Carey School of Business this May, did research on a test for Alzheimer’s at Barrow, runs a support group & blog for POTS, a rare disease affecting the autonomic nervous system and was an active member of the WP Carrey Dean’s Advisory Council. I’m exhuasted just listing all of that, and I’m sure that list is incomplete. I’m not entirely sure how she did it all, but I know she will achieve great things and I am so excited to see what all she accomplishes.
In Phoenix, high school senior portraits are a big deal and are great to celebrate you & your accomplishments. However I don’t see a lot of college graduation portaits and think they are a great way to celebrate an even bigger accomplishment and who you are as an adult. They are also a great opportunity to get some professional headshots for job hunting. I highly recommend getting a portrait session done when you graduate college. Sessions are easy and fun, even if you hate your photos taken. I plan sessions around your personality and put you at ease. I hate being in front of the camera too, so I know what it’s like! The best time to schedule your college senior portraits is January- March if you are graduating in the spring or Oct-November if you are graduating in December.
