2015, what a year! 2015 wrap up posts are one of my favorites to do, but are time consuming. I love reviewing all of my shoots from the year, all of the beautiful moments and see how collectively my work is evolving and I am growing as an artist. I’m so excited for the new year, meeting new and wonderful people, seeing amazing things and continuing my path as a photographer.
To recap this year:I went to Hawaii to photograph a dear friend’s senior graduation photos. I then photographed a sweet elopement of a Canadian couple at my favorite venue, Saguaro Lake Ranch! I got to know and shoot a few lovely high school & college seniors, and photographed a beautiful 2nd marriage at The Westin. Then, I had the pleasure to photograph Rachel & Robert’s engagement session at Papago Park, who also joined me as models for an underwater shoot for the national TV show The List. I photographed Cora & Matt’s beautiful wedding, and Lindsey graced my camera screen with her surreal underwater grace. I got to spend some time with Krista underwater, and Brianna for some headshots, and then it was time for Rachel & Robert’s beautiful wedding at Sassi! Anna & Steve joined me for an underwater couple’s session together before they moved to Guam and we created some beautiful couple’s portraits of them together. (Feel free to fly me out there, Anna & Steve for some underwater ocean photos 😉 ) Crista & Alex’s cozy in home engagement session made me jealous of Crista’s interior decorating skills. And then I photographed my beautiful cousin’s RiverCenter wedding in Davenport, IA! Kishia, Jen & I braved the early morning summer sun for a sunrise engagement session along the Salt River, and Jessica & Craig drove through a serious microburst storm to get some rainy engagement portraits on the Mogollon Rim near Payson. I shot some headshots for some wonderful local wedding planners, Karen and Chandra; and photographed Kishia & Jen’s beautiful morning Farm at South Mountain Wedding! Then I headed off to Sedona to shoot Krista & Matt’s Sedona intimate elopement. Then I shot a gorgeous casual wedidng of two lovely ladies, Bel & I braved the cold pool temperatures for her underwater senior portrait session and I’m grateful to have 2nd shot for Scott English & Round Lens Photography which took me to Sedona at L’Auberge, Copperwynd Resort & a lovely backyard in the north valley. Chris & Leah’s gorgeous wedding at Noah’s Event Center (coming soon!) was an honor to photograph, and I wrapped up the year with catching up with past clients & their beagle, Luisi’s underwater maternity session, Maddy’s fun senior session, Amanda & Nate’s Salt River engagement session and Fatima & Jaime’s Piestawa Peak engagement session.
On the personal front, I GOT MARRIED, travelled to Mexico for our honeymoon, and did lots of adulting this year! I hope you all had a wonderful 2015 and here’s to an even better 2016! I can’t wait to share my exciting projects on the horizon!
